It’s that time of year again folks. November in Melbourne means Hemp Fest. The 5th Annual Marijuana Education Festival takes place Sat & Sun. Nov. 21 & 22 at Wickham Park Main Pavillion. Guest speakers, activists and hemp vendors will fill you in on the herb that, according to Glenn Pinfield’s Celebrate Freedom manifesto, the DEA’s own Judge Francis L. Young called “one of the safest therapeutically active substances known to man”. Last years entertainment was some of the very best in the state and there’s some interesting acts set for this year too. HBO comedian Jeff Barrett will vibe alongside the peace and love Zendik Tribe of Vero Beach. Hank El Diablo of Jacksonville is set to put in another evil appearance and the visually and pelvically stunning primal. Eye is a tentative, BUT, I saved the best for last. If you are unfamiliar with Chad Jasmine, you’re missing out on one of Florida’s most prolific and talented songwriters. The CHAD JASMINE factor will be one of the highest lights of the festival. Picture Nil Lara and Rickie Lee Jones inhabiting the same 6’6” masculine body…it’s intense.
